Accurate and reliable
The SI600 meter’s advanced electronics can achieve a resolution of 0.005 pH for very sensitive pH measurements. The meter’s ability to offer reliable pH measurements in demanding conditions is the result of the robust ISFET sensor integrated into our probes. Unlike glass pH electrodes, ISFET pH sensors are highly resilient and do not require wet storage.

User friendly
A large backlit 3.2” LCD colour display allows convenient determination of measurement values and provides clear information for operation. The pH value is displayed in a large font and is continuously displayed during menu operation. The intuitive and user friendly interface allows quick access to the meter’s advanced features and settings. Large ergonomically placed buttons facilitate easy menu navigation and selection of options.

Intelligent features
The intelligent calibration wizard simplifies the calibration process, reducing calibration time and the chance for errors. A full calibration report is displayed at the end of the procedure. The SI600 supports 1-, 2-, 3- and 5-point calibration. The meter also contains various settable alarms that provide an audible warning when measured pH or temperature values are out of range or when maximum time between calibrations has been exceeded. For advanced users, bias setting can be manually defined.

Durable Design
The S1600 hasan IP65 rating and a rubber boot that helps to absorb shocks. The light-weight and compact body makes it highly suitable for field use and handheld applications. The meter has also been designed so that it is stable when placed on a table, making it well suited for laboratory table-top use. The meter’s three AA-batteries can be recharged using the supplied AC adapter or exchanged with spare batteries when no power source is available.

Data acquisition & PC communication
The SI600 has advanced data acquisition capabilities, that permit extensive storage of measured data points and continuous data logging at a user defined time interval. Stored and logged data points can be transmitted to a PC through the USB port and with suitable software the meter’s momentary pH value and temperature can be queried.

Ph is a measure of the degree of the acidity or the alkalinity of a solution as measured on a scale of 0 to 14. The midpoint of 7.0 on the pH scale represents neutrality. A "neutral" solution is neither acid nor alkaline. pH below 7.0 indicate acidity; pH above 7.0 indicate alkalinity. pH indicates the intensity of alkalinity or acidity in the same way temperature tells how hot something is but not how much heat the substance carries. More specifically, pH is the negative of the logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution. The hydrogen ion concentration is the weight of hydrogen ions, in grams, per liter of solution. In neutral water, for example, the hydrogen ion concentration is 10E-7 grams per liter; the pH is therefore 7. Since it is hydrogen that is responsible for acidity and alkalinity, the abbreviation "pH" stands for "potential of hydrogen." The neutral point of 7.0 actually indicates the presence of equal concentrations of free hydrogen and hydroxide ions.

The ConeFET pH probe is a general purpose probe with a conical tip designed to be used for a wide range of pH sensing applications. For example, the ConeFET can be used in the laboratory for sampling of liquids, with a wide range of viscosities, in a flask or beaker. It is also well suited for use in the field or in industry. Applications for which Sentron’s customers use ConeFET probes include laboratory testing, environmental water quality monitoring, food quality monitoring and monitoring of pH in pharmaceutical / nutritional processes.

ISFET = glass-free
In contrast to conventional glass pH electrodes, ISFET pH sensors are robust and do not require wet storage. This makes them well suited for many environmental, food and pharmaceutical applications. Even in areas like education or in laboratories, where glass pH electrodes can be used, ISFET pH measurement technology offers a much more durable and reliable solution.

Fast response time
ISFET pH sensors are fast because they measure directly at the surface. Sentron’s SI series probes can give stable readings in under 5 seconds for almost all samples.

Robust
Sentron probes are built from high quality ABS, PVC and PEEK materials. They are resistant to many aggressive solutions and can withstand rugged use. At the same time, they are light weight and easy to handle.

The probes have a polymer body snap-on type connector. Unlike DIN and bayonet type connectors, there are no moving parts nor screw thread that can be damaged. The position of the ISFET and reference electrode has been designed to be clog and pollution resistant. In the event debris has accumulated on the sensor it can be easily cleaned with water and a brush.
The probes are provided with protection against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) ensuring measure-ments continue even in harsher electrostatic environments.

Easy handling
The ergonomic design makes the probe easy to hold. Its reduced weight and soft flexible cable allow it to be used in long flasks and/or low beakers without tipping the container.
